Tension Grips Jantar Mantar as Stones Thrown at Police During CJP Protest Demanding Pradhan’s Resignation

National & International

Massive clashes erupted at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi today as supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) attempted to carry out their “Chalo Sansad” march, demanding the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak controversy. Despite the imposition of prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS, hundreds of protesters gathered, leading to a severe confrontation with law enforcement. During the escalating standoff, stones were reportedly thrown at the deployed police personnel, prompting authorities to detain several individuals to control the crowd.

Earlier this morning, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke had alleged on social media that a truck loaded with stones was deliberately parked near the protest site by authorities, expressing fears that it would be used to falsely implicate the demonstrators. Following the stone-pelting chaos, Delhi Police tightened multi-layered security and CCTV surveillance across central Delhi, stepping up barricades around the Parliament Street area as the Monsoon Session officially begins today.
