The highly auspicious Adapa Mandapa Bije ritual was successfully completed in Puri today, marking a major spiritual milestone in the ongoing 2026 Rath Yatra. Following a delayed chariot procession that concluded on Friday afternoon when all three magnificent chariots reached Saradha Bali, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra finally left their chariots to enter their birthplace, the Janmabedi at the Shree Gundicha Temple.
Amidst deafening chants of “Jai Jagannath” from lakhs of gathered devotees and tight security arrangements, the deities were ceremonially escorted into the temple’s sanctum. Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) confirmed that all traditional rituals were conducted smoothly. The Holy Trinity will now reside at the Gundicha Temple and bless devotees with the sacred Adapa Abadha for a week before beginning their return journey, the Bahuda Yatra.
