Odisha Approves 25 Industrial Projects Worth ₹4,510 Crore, Set to Create Over 10,000 Jobs

Bhubaneswar: Century Plyboards is set to establish a plywood factory in Koraput district, with the company investing ₹870.82 crore in the project. Similarly, Pidilite Industries will set up a tile adhesive manufacturing unit in Baleshwar. Internationally renowned firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Services is planning to establish a Technology Centre in Khordha with an investment of ₹60 crore.

These three projects are among 25 industrial proposals worth ₹4,510 crore that received approval at the 145th meeting of the State-Level Single Window Authority held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anu Garg.

These projects, to be established across 11 districts, will create more than 10,000 employment opportunities in the state. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has been emphasising industrial development in all districts of the state. Keeping this in view, projects in underdeveloped districts like Balangir, Kalahandi, and Koraput were approved in this meeting.

The meeting also approved textile and technical textile projects by Sonaselection India and Alphatex in Khordha. In the pharma and medical devices sector, Altius Life will invest ₹236.90 crore in Cuttack, while Shreeji Imaging and Diagnostics will invest ₹53.55 crore in Khordha. Paradeep Phosphates Limited will set up a sulphuric acid plant in Jagatsinghpur with an investment of ₹425 crore. NIFA Limited is set to invest ₹164 crore in Khordha.

In the aluminium and metals sector, Odisha Special Grade Alumina will invest ₹88.16 crore in Koraput, Sundar Steel will invest ₹75.46 crore in Cuttack, Navaprakruti Green Energies will invest ₹105 crore in Baleshwar, and Lenrock Ventures will invest ₹55.40 crore in Sundargarh. Scan Steels will invest ₹255.10 crore in Sundargarh, while Siddhiriddhi International will invest ₹610 crore in Keonjhar.

Four new star hotel projects have also been approved in the state. Agravanshi Private Limited will construct a 4-star hotel in Koraput with an investment of ₹52 crore, and Sagun Retreat will build a 3-star hotel in Balangir with an investment of ₹54.94 crore. Aryapride Hotel and Convention will invest ₹150.69 crore in Bhubaneswar, and Aramya will construct a 4-star hotel in Puri with an investment of ₹60 crore.

Additionally, Chalah Infratech will establish a logistics park in Sambalpur with an investment of ₹174.10 crore, Coastal Biotech Private Limited will set up an ethanol plant in Kalahandi with an investment of ₹350 crore, and Abhishek Contech India will establish a polymer insulator manufacturing unit in Khordha with an investment of ₹55.03 crore. Nuvo Aeon Diamond and Jewellery will invest ₹243.50 crore to expand the capacity of its lab-grown diamond jewellery manufacturing unit in Khordha, according to information from the meeting.
